Bras for a Cure voting runs through October 31

EUGENE, Ore. - The Bras for a Cure showcase invites contestants to show off a creative bra they decorated.

The public can vote for their favorites for $1 per vote.

This is the second year Dandelion Flowers and Gifts in Eugene has hosted the event.

All proceeds go to Willamette Valley Cancer Institute.

"This is a way that they get a chance to do something tangibly but also we're raising money for Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation who keeps all of the money right here for local Lane County residents, so we're delighted," said Shirley Lyons, owner of Dandelions Flowers & Gifts.

The grand opening is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the store north of 18th Avenue on Chambers Street. You can vote until October 31.

Winners will be announced in the final showcase on November 4.
