EUGENE, Ore. - Lane County Parks expect to generate $100,000 in revenues this summer hosting concerts at Emerald Meadows, about 80 acres on the north end of the Howard Buford Park.
Buford Park is known for the Mount Pisgah Arboretum in another part of the park.
The county said the money will benefit county parks by paying for repairs, and that visitors will boost the local tourism economy.
Neighbors are worried about traffic and noise.
Park managers said they plan to require performers to turn off the amplifiers by 11 p.m. on show nights.
