EUGENE, Ore. -- A woman was injured Wednesday morning when she crashed her car into a school bus.

No children were on the bus at the time.

The accident happened at East Broadway and High Street in Downtown Eugene just before noon. Officials on the scene said the car driver may have run a red light causing the crash.

The car ended up in front of the Shedd Institute, a performing arts venue. The car driver, Donna Brooks of Springfield, was injured. Emergency crews had to cut the roof off her car to get her out of the car. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police cited Brooks for careless driving.

Officials say the driver of the Eugene 4J school bus -- Herbert Richmond of Eugene -- was not injured, but was shaken up.
