SANTIAM PASS, Ore. - A vehicle fire closed Highway 20 just west of Santiam Pass Summit on Friday afternoon.

There was no detour and traffic quickly backed up, the Oregon DOT said.

Traffic cameras showed traffic starting to move again around 3:20 p.m. ODOT said the fire was out and 2-way traffic had been restored, although it was slow going.

Another major route between the Willamette Valley and Central Oregon was disrupted Friday when a tanker truck hauling fuel overturned on Highway 58 near Pleasant Hill.

ODOT was able to arrange a local detour around the wreck.
