Two children fall from windows on Wednesday afternoon

OREGON CITY, Ore. - Two young children fell through window screens in Clackamas County on Wednesday afternoon.
The first incident involved a 16-month-old who was playing on a bunk bed fell out of a window. It happened around 1 p.m. at a home in the 14900 block of Marjorie Lane in Oregon City.
According to Clackamas Fire District #1, the bunk bed that the child was playing on was up against a window, which was open. There was a screen in place, but it gave way and the child fell about 20 feet onto a bush and then hit the ground.
The child was taken to a local hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. The child's sister had been watching the baby and was away momentarily when the accident happened.
The second fall happened happened around 3:50 p.m. at a home on SE Lawnfield in Sunnyside. Firefighters said a five-year-old child pushed out a screen and fell.
It's not clear how far the child fell. Firefighters said the child was conscious and breathing when they showed up.
Just two days ago another child fell out of a window in Happy Valley. In that case a 4-year-old boy was kicking a window screen from a bunk bed that was also next to a window. He fell about 15 feet and had to be taken to the hospital.
His parent were downstairs making dinner when the fall happened.
