Commander's House going home to Fort Hoskins
Benton County has acquired the historic Commander’s House, originally located at Fort Hoskins, and will be moving the structure from Pedee, Ore., back to its original location at the fort on Sunday, Oct. 21. The house is in remarkably accurate historical condition, according to county officials. Upgrades have been minor over the years. Oregon State University archaeologist Dr. David Brauner told Benton County that if General Sheridan were to go to the house today, he would recognize it.
