One lane open after crash on Hwy 42 east of Myrtle Point

MYRTLE POINT, Ore. - Highway 42 has one lane open after a crash and fire closed it east of Myrtle Point Wednesday afternoon.

No word yet on what caused the crash, who was involved or the extent of injuries, if any.

There was a fire following the crash, but it has been put out.

State transportation officials, law enforcement and fire officials are at the scene, ODOT said.

Motorists should expect delays as cleanup at the scene will take some time.
