Eugene Police's Major Collision Investigation Team was on the scene at Royal Avenue between Danebo Avenue and Candlelight Drive. The area wass closed to traffic during the investigation.
McLaughlin said alcohol consumption on behalf of the driver is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash.
Dan and Jolene are dear friends. Â Please pray for them.
MY PRAYERS ARE WITH HER. WE WERE THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED AND PRAYED THEN AND STILL PRAY NOW. VERY SAD
I live off this road. I feel horriable for people who take this route and cross. There is no crosswalk at the Candlelight road and some drivers do not pay attention. But, the actual cross walk is at Danebo and Welcome way. Still a dark night and not a well lit area. I hope whomever was hit will be okay.
