PORTLAND, Ore. – Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies made an easy burglary arrest last Friday when they found a suspect asleep in the kitchen of a home.
Deputies said they got a call about a burglary just before 5 a.m. from a home in the Rock Creek area and arrived to find Cristian Villarreal-Castillo, 20, asleep on the kitchen floor of a home on NW Shadow Lane.
The home had been ransacked and deputies said items they found in Villarreal-Castillo’s possession connected him to another burglary that took place a few hours before he was arrested.
Electronics found in Villarreal-Castillo’s pants may have been taken from unlocked vehicles, deputies added.
Deputies said Villarreal-Castillo apparently got into the homes through unlocked doors and they wanted to remind residents to keep their homes secure.
They said it appears Villarreal-Castillo dozed off while burglarizing the home.
Villarreal-Castillo was taken to the Washington County Jail and charged with two counts of burglary, attempted theft, trespassing, and criminal mischief. Bail is set at $100,000.
He may face more charges as the investigation goes on, deputies said.
It is so stressful being a no good thief, and life in jail is so easy, think I'll just take a nap and wait to get caught. Slither on down with the other scum and reflect on your miserable existence.
Dude, maybe the graveyard shift isn't for you.
What drugs was he on?
@XoztedMama Now! Now! No profiling! Not all 20 year old Hispanic burglars and thieves are drug abusers.
