Dog sought after it bites child in Sutherlin

SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- Officials with the Douglas County Environmental Health Department are looking for a dog that bit a child in Sutherlin.

Authorities say they are asking for assistance in locating the dog, described as a small brown and white Pit Bull.

They say the dog bit a child near East 2nd Avenue in Sutherlin on Sunday, September 15 at about 11:30 am near the child’s home.

No other information is available at this time, officials said.

The dog needs to be found for observation purposes only, as required by law.
