Three shot during large fight in Downtown Portland identified

PORTLAND, Ore. --  A large fight in downtown Portland left three people with gunshot wounds early Sunday morning, and Portland Police officials said it was likely gang-related.

Portland Police responded to the shooting on 3rd Ave. and Ash St. at around 12:40 a.m. Sunday. Officers arrived to find three people had been shot. 

21-year-old Jaron Cuie, 37-year-old Damarvis Lee and 25-year-old Ricardo Savoy Hernandez were the three men identified as being injured in the shooting.

Paramedics took two of the victims to a local hospital; police officials said they are expected to survive.

The third victim's injuries were not serious and didn't require hospital treatment.

Witnesses told police a big fight broke out before the shooting occurred.

Portland Police said they believe this is a gang-related shooting, based on the witness statements.

The Gang Enforcement Team and Forensic Evidence Division are following up on the shooting investigation.
