Driver charged after crash injures him, 4 boys

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The driver of a Dodge Durango that crashed Tuesday morning, injuring the driver and four boys ages 7 to 14, faces charges of meth possession and careless driving.

Randy Keith Monson, 29, of Corvallis was arrested for possesion of methamphetamine and cited for driving while suspended and careless driving after he was released from the hosptial Tuesday, Oregon State Police said.

Monson was beind the wheel of a 1999 Durango just after 10 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 34. The SUV drifted into a ditch, hit a culvert pipe under and driveway and overturned onto the highway.

Monson and the boys were taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis for treatment.
