LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. - A postal worker was injured Monday morning when a small pickup truck smashed through the front of a Lake Oswego post office building.
The incident tool place just before 10 a.m. and the Lake Oswego Fire Department said a mail carrier was "slightly injured" when a sorting rack fell on her during the crash.
She was taken to the hospital by a co-worker to get checked out, firefighters said.
Firefighters said the driver was pulling into a parking spot and did not stop. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time according to firefighters.
The structure of the post office building was not compromised and postal officials were working on getting the damaged section of wall boarded up after the crash.
