EUGENE, Ore. -- Over 260 north Eugene homes lost power early Sunday morning after a power pole broke under the weight of snow and ice.
The pole snapped at around 1:20 a.m. Sunday near Coburg Road and Crescent Ave, Eugene Water and Electric Board officials said.
Crews immediately got to work trying to restore power to the neighborhood. EWEB spokesman Joe Harwood said that by 3:30 a.m. they had restored power to 204 residents.
The remaining 57 customers had their power restored by 11:30 a.m.
