EUGENE, Ore. - Jon Anderson of Eugene etched his name into the history of the Boston Marathon more than 40 years ago.
The 1972 Olympian won the Boston Marathon in 1973.
The next year, he went to work for Random Lengths, a specialty publication serving the wood products industry, in his native Eugene.
He continued his competitive running career until 1984.
He now serves as publisher and president of Random Lengths.
