Eugene residents dive in to St. Vinnie's yard sale for a cure

EUGENE, Ore. -- St. Vincent de Paul teamed up with The Eugene Skin Divers Supply Sunday to put on a yard sale to help raise money to fight cancer.
The fund raising event put on by the Eugene Skin Divers Supply is called Dive for a Cure. The fifth annual event is going to be held in Florence in late September. This year, however, St. Vincent de Paul put together a yard sale to accompany the event. Organizers for the yard sale said it was pretty successful.
It is very humbling to see the amount of people that came out for the garage sale," said Diana Hollingshead, co-owner of Eugene Skin Divers Supply. "It gives us a really good feeling!"
All of the items sold at the yard sale raised money for the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. Any items left over will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul.
To date, the Dive for a Cure fundraiser has donated $100,000 to the Institute.
