Eugene school unveils life-sized Scrabble board
EUGENE, Ore. -- Here's one way to double your word score, super-size your Scrabble board.
Middle school students at Eugene's Arts and Technology Academy built a huge, 15-by-15 foot game board in the school's courtyard.
Kids designed and hand-painted every tile and spot on the board.
Jailany Thiaw and Wyatt Anderle-Higbee said they came up with the idea months ago and can't believe how it turned out.
"It just feels really accomplishing," said Anderle-Higbee. "And it's cool to look at it and know that you did it."
"Stay determined and you are going to get something awesome like this," said Thiaw.
The tiles and game are available for any classroom to check out.
