EUGENE, Ore. - The Eugene Pro Rodeo is wrapping up this weekend with a variety of popular acts from all over the country.

Rodeo Clown Bert Davis of California is one of many nationally recognized rodeo acts peforming at the Eugene Pro Rodeo this year. Bert has been a rodeo clown for 38 years and has enjoyed every minute of it.

"I don't know, I guess it's the smell of the grease paint they always say," Davis said.

But Davis never goes anywhere without his"Muttley Crew" of 13 dogs.

"They're just a bunch of puppies that like to have a good time," Davis said.

But they may just be the 13 most talented pooches you will ever see. Davis and his wife, Frannie, have trained their dogs to jump through hoops one after another as they move from box to box in a half circle.

Rodeo Clown Bert Davis and the Muttley Crew even appeared on the telivision show America's Got Talent in 2010.

"They want to perform, it's amazing," Davis said. "Getting prepared coming from our trailer to the arena is a wild deal."

But there's something you should know about the performing pups.

"All these dogs except this one right here are either rescue, strays, unwanted dogs, and we've turned them into international stars," Davis said.

Bert and Frannie have rescued up to 30 dogs within the last 20 years and trained them to be peformers.

"We enhance their ability, we only get what we want them to do and they all want to do it," Davis said. "They get a rush off the crowd."

Not only is performing a rush for the pooches, but for the trainers as well.

"How many people go to a 9 to 5 job everyday and hate it?" Davis said. "Every time I step into an arena on I'm on fire."

The Eugene Pro Rodeo wraps up Saturday, July 7th with "Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night."

All proceeds from the event will go to breast cancer research. Tickets are $16 for adults and $10 for kids ages 6 to 12.
