ESTACADA, Ore. – A woman died and another person was injured in a head on crash between two cars near Estacada Saturday night, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said.
Witnesses reported the crash on Southeast Eagle Creek Road near Duus Road around 11 p.m., according to Sgt. Nate Thompson. Both cars were heavily damaged.
The driver of one of the cars, 53-year-old Sherri Lynn Graham of Boring, died at the scene. The other driver was treated by medics at the scene and released, Thompson said.
A dog was also injured in the crash. Firefighters had to remove the dog from one of the cars. Medics took the dog to a veterinary hospital.
It’s unclear what caused the crash.
Detectives are interviewing the driver who survived. That person's name has not been released.
