EUGENE, Ore. - The Duck Store says Fiesta Bowl-themed gear has been flying off the shelves since Christmas.
"People are getting really excited, especially as we get closer to the actual date," MacKenzie Studebaker said Wednesday. "Right around Christmas time people just started coming in every day looking for Fiesta gear to buy, so it has been on the up and up."
For fans,it is much more than just hats, t-shirts and accessories: It's about making the game memorable.
"I have so much Duck gear that I usually don't buy too much," said Laura Miller, "but it is always fun to have something that says the bowl they are going to."
"I am building my collection of Duck gear," said Doren Weil. "I have a couple things but Fiesta gear is something that needs to be added because it is part of history."
With Duck gear in hand, the hard part might be figuring out where you are going to watch the game.
And with the home team in one of the most popular bowl games in college football, it shouldn't be hard to find a watch party.
The Wild Duck Cafe is rolling out their 12-foot projection screen for the game.
Everyone's invited - but you may want to wear your green and yellow.
"We are getting ready to have a big party, we are excited about it," said Jason Boyer with Wild Duck Cafe. "There is going to be a lot of people down here including a local chapter of the alumni. we are looking to have a lot of fun. we are going to give away some things at half time and we are going to root for those Ducks."
