Candace Campos, chief meteorologist for KVAL News, posted this image #LiveOnKVAL on Twitter at 5:15 p.m. Friday. "Powerful system packing a punch for the weekend! Record rain & gusty winds can be expected! Stay tuned." That's the advice from the National Weather Service, too, who called the storm "unusual" and urged the public to stay tuned to local media for updates.

EUGENE, Ore. - The final numbers are in, and September 2013 will go down in history as the wettest on record across northwest Oregon.
