Fire guts shop behind house

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. - No one was hurt when a fire ripped through a shop behind a Cottage Grove home early Tuesday morning.

South Lane County Fire and Rescue responded to the fire at 78553 Halderman Road at 4 a.m.

The first arriving engine company found the shop behind the home fully engulfed in fire.

The shop and its contents were destroyed by the fire.

No one was injured, and the fire did not spread to neighboring homes.

The fire is under investigation by the South Lane County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal to determine the cause of the early morning blaze.
