Fire in trash bin burns apartment storage

EUGENE, Ore. - A fire in a tash bin spread to the storage unit of an apartment complex at 1030 West 11th Avenue on Friday evening.

No one was hurt.

Firefighters put the fire out and saved everything inside the storage unit.

Police said there have been a rash of trash bin fires in the past 6 months.

The public is asked to report trash bin fires in progress to 911. Anyone with knowledge of what started a fire should call police at (541) 682-5111.
