Freight container full of cattle falls off truck on Wash. freeway

SEATTLE - A freight container loaded with cattle fell off a tractor-trailer and onto Interstate 90 Saturday morning, landing on its side and killing some of the animals inside, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Trooper Julie Judson says it's unclear how many of the cows died.
The container, with about 30 cows inside, fell off the truck at about 9 a.m. near 18th Avenue South. After hitting the pavement, the container rolled over onto its side.
Authorities didn't want to release the cows from the container, due to concerns they might immediately wander off into freeway traffic.
The only other option was to right the container with the cattle still inside, so two large tow trucks were brought in, and they slowly righted the container. It was then loaded onto another trailer.
The cattle will now be trucked to Sunnyside, in Central Washington, to be inspected by a veterinarian.
Some lanes of I-90 were closed during the incident, causing minor traffic delays.
I am not a vegetarian, anymore. But I cannot stand the thought of ANY animals being treated inhumanely. I will never eat veal or lamb, because if an animal is going to end up on my plate, it will have lived a good and fruitful life and be killed in an instant and as painless manner as possible. Meat has been necessary since the beginning of time, there is no reason to treat these animals like they have no feelings.
I know this is wrong in so many way's. And i will get a bunch of td's on this but it gives a new meaning to groung beef.Â
Looks like to me, that whoever was " shipping the cattle" was trying to get by in an inspection..Who would ever think to look in a freight container!! THAT IS SOO WRONG..no way where those cows getting any air!!

@Hallyscomet Considering some were injured and died, I don't see how that's funny. =/

@Hallyscomet I'm sorry, i am a bad person, but that was funny.
Since when are they shipping live animals in a closed cargo container? That's disgustingly cruel!
Wow, that's terrible. Is it common for livestock to be shipped in freight containers here? =/ Because I'm used to seeing livestock trailers. It seems really cruel to pack them in a shipping container...
poor moo cows so sad I really dont like animals being hurt
