Grass fire closes Oregon highway

LEBANON, Ore. - A farmer cutting hay sparked a grass fire that burned 50 acres and closed a highway Wednesday.

The road was all that stood between neighbors and the flames, according to witnesses.

No buildings were burned.

The fire closed Oregon Highway 34 near Lebanon. Traffic was detoured via Denny School Road.
