OSP: Valentines bears stuffed with heroin results in two arrests
NEAR ONTARIO, Ore. - Oregon State Police said they made two arrests and found a large amount of heroin in a car during a traffic stop Jan. 30 on I-84 near Ontario.
OSP said the heroin was hidden in Valentines Day gifts.
Troopers said they arrested two young women, Sonla Marquez-Lozano, 22 and Yedid Zamudio-Vazquez, 20, both of Phoenix, Arizona, after a traffic stop for an illegal lane change resulted in the discovery of the drugs.
The heroin was concealed in two "Valentine teddy bear baskets" found in the trunk of the 2005 Honda Accord, troopers said. The drugs have a street value of $200,000, troopers said in a press release.
Both suspects were charged with unlawful possession and distribution of a controlled substance (heroin) and taken to the Malhuer County Jail.
The OSP Drug Enforcement Section is continuing to investigate.
People like this have everything to gain and nothing to lose and they know it. They`re afraid of nothing because the law is nothing to be afraid of . We the people are pussing out on punishment for real crime and the bad guys are taking advantage of it. What should we expect? Try them, convict them and give them 5 years of hard labor. Make it hurt. Make them pay their own freight so that taxpayers aren`t held liable for their crimes. Tatoo their foreheads before their release with their crimes so the people know not to ever trust them. Bring back the long trip on a short rope.  These two will be out in a few days and you can bet that they`ll do the same thing within a week. Â

 @EUGENE541 Umm, where? The article states -- "both of Phoenix, Arizona" -- but nowhere mentions that they are immigrants or *gasps* illegal immigrants. I hate to break the news to you, but America is filled with ethnic first, middle and surnames... most on people whose families have lived in this country for many generations.
