Have you seen James Dutton?

EUGENE, Ore. - Have you seen James Dutton?
The Lane County Sheriff's Office said Dutton vanished, and efforts to locate him have yielded clues but otherwise come up empty.
If you have had contact with the 32-year-old Eugene man since July 9, the sheriff's office asks you to call (541) 682-4141.
He was reported missing that day when he failed to show up to meet his family.
His car was found July 30 near the French Pete Trail, which accesses the Three Sisters Wilderness. Trailhead records show he filled out a Wilderness Use Permit on June 18.
Lane County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue searched the trail with the help of a tracking dog after the car was found, to no avail.
i also pray the god of safty to guide him
I sincerely hope that search and rescue will continue their search for Jake.He is a wonderful person as is his Mother.I will continue to pray for his safe return. from Tom G in North Carolina (a friend of the family)
www.oregonmissing.blogspot.com has a flyer from the Laura Recovery Center and updated personal information about Jake. If you really want to help this family, share the flyer everywhere and keep his face in the public. People might be in contact with him and not even know that he is a missing person.Â
There was a math professor, Daming Xu, from the U of Oregon, lost on this same trail in November 4 yrs ago , and he was NEVER recovered..   Right now there are several people in addition to my son lost in that area. The Lane Counyt search and Rescue are working overtime this season. IfI you have seen Jake plase contact Lane County Sheriff's office.  I am  desperate to find Jake.
@Jake'sMom I am so sorry that your son has been missing so long.Â
Wait, so the Forest Service doesn't check permits even after others have gone missing in the same area? Seems awfully irresponsible on their part.
James Jacob Dutton graduated from the USCG in Cape May. Please send any information you might have might have to capemaypamlico@gmail.com
@capemaypamlico Shouldn't we send any info to the police?? He is a veteran of the Coast Guard, not a newly graduated recruit.....
I believe this is the same trail area where a University of Oregon professor went hiking a few years ago and was never found.Â
Interesting that he filled out a wilderness use permit that was vaild through June 18 at the French Pete Trailhead but his car was not located until July 30th. Why would it take the Forest Service 45 days to notice his car and permit receipt were at the trailhead long after the use permit expired. I thought the use permits were to allow the Forest Service to keep track of hikers in the woods to provide assistence to potentially lost hikers. Does the Forest Service keep track of the use permits and the cars parked at the trailheads?
@lookforfacts The Forest Service issues permits to generate revenue - nothing more, nothing less.Â

@lookforfacts I haven't been to a trail or snow mobile head that didn't require a pay-to-park pass. I haven't been to a National, state or county park that didn't require a parking pass...regardless of whether I have been dropped off by someone else or not.
