CRESWELL, Ore. - Two people remain unaccounted for after a fire destroyed a home Wednesday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who has seen Dennis Michael Kelley, Carl Robb McFarland or their 1982 Ford F150 tan over white truck to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (541) 682-4141.

A state fire marshal at the scene Thursday said there were "confirmed fatalities" but said details would have to come from the Lane County Sheriff's Office.

A sheriff's office spokesperson said she could not confirm whether bodies were found in the ashes of the house.

South Lane County Fire and Rescue responded to the fire at 33286 Bryant Rd. off Butte Road around at 2:44 p.m. Wednesday

The first crews on scene found flames leaping from the home. The fire took close to an hour to bring under control.

Upon arrival, crews determined that the home was occupied by Kelley and McFarland.

Both remained unaccounted for as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

The fire is being investigated by the Oregon State Fire Marshall's Office and the Lane County Sheriff to determine the cause of the fire.

Three Firefighters were treated for heat exposure due to the high July temperatures.

The sheriff's office said Kelley and McFarland are known to live at the property. Authorities have yet to locate either man.

Kelley, 65, is 5-foot-10, 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

McFarland, 69, is 5-foot-8, 150 pounds with gray balding hair and blue eyes. He may have a slight beard and mustache.
