CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ore. - A state trooper picked up an injured dog from a state highway early Tuesday morning.

The male dog is recovering from minor injuries at a veterinarian in Albany. The vet said the dog may be a Walker Hound breed.

The dog had a black collar but no ID or microchip.

Troopers found the dog on Highway 228 near Brush Creek Road around 6:30 a.m.

Troopers suspect the injured adult dog either fell out of a pickup or got clipped by a passing car.
