COOS BAY, Ore. - Jay Yarbrough left a hospital ICU and went into hiding last June as police searched the bunker that the self-described "prepper" dug beneath his Coos Bay home.

Police said they found guns, drugs and homemade bombs under Yarbrough's house. About 10 days later, they found Yarbrough, who had reportedly been hiding out on an island in an Oregon river.

Judge Richard Barron found Yarbrough guilty on Wednesday on seven criminal counts, including possession of a destructive device and menacing.

Barron has yet to issue a verdict on two additional charges of unlawful use of a weapon.

Yarbrough faces sentencing December 12.
