Kids donate handmade trucks to Toys for Tots

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Dozens of local children will get a very special handmade gift this Christmas - thanks to other kids.

Eighth graders at Hamlin Middle School donated 42 toy trucks to Toys for Tots on Tuesday.

The students made the trucks in their shop class.

"It was really exciting to help out with our community and stuff because some people can't afford it," said student Selena Gutierrez. "I think everyone deserves to have a good Christmas."

You can donate to Toys for Tots through Friday.

All the toys will be handed out to local kids this weekend.
