EUGENE, Ore. -- The last weekend for Christmas shopping has people filling the the Eugene Holiday Market, making this weekend the busiest that many vendors have seen all season.
Much like its Saturday Market counterpart, the Holiday Market offers local artisans a chance to sell their wares at the Lane County Fairgrounds in a heated indoor space.
Thousands of people pours through the tables of unique hand-crafted items to find the perfect gifts for the people left on their list.
Artists like Shanna Trumbly were happy to help them finish off their shopping.
"I think people are really excited for Christmas … excited to get their last minute gifts for family and friends and this is a great place to do it," said Trumbly.
Many of the vendors that KVAL News talked to at the market on Sunday said that this year has been a lot better than previous years.
Dennis Smith said that he has seen a sales jump of around 15 percent over last year's totals.
"We noticed that the average customer is buying a little bit more than they normally would," said Smith. "We get people who are visiting their relatives here in Lane County for the holidays. So we get people from New York, I get people from other countries."
The Holiday Market is also open on Monday (Christmas Eve) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
