Life Flight responds to car vs. motorcycle in Lorane

LORANE, Ore. -- A Life Flight helicopter was called out to an accident between a car and a morotcycle Sunday afternoon just east of Lorane.

Dispatchers received the call at 12:15 Sunday afternoon about the motor vehicle accident just outside of Lorane, Oregon on the Cottage Grove Lorane Road.

Emergency crews told KVAL News reporters on-scene that the accident happened when a woman was turned left onto Cottage Grove Lorane Road from her driveway.

A motorcyclist driving westbound toward Lorane collided with the woman's car as she was pulling out. The woman said she didn't see the motorcyclist in the roadway before she made her turn.

The motocyclist, 65, was taken to the hospital by Life Flight helicopter. He is currently being treated for life threatening injuries.
