GLIDE, Ore. -- A man driving with his dog named Crash went over an embankment Monday evening and landed in the river off Little River Road.
Authorities say medical crews and police were called to the scene about two miles up Little River Road at about 6:30 pm, for a report of a crash involving a car that had went off an embankment and was in the river.
When crews arrived, they found Craig Jensen, 58, in the backseat of his 2003 dodge Neon. Officials say he was unconscious and had been thrown into the backseat during the crash.
Corporal Norris with the Douglas County Sheriff's office told KPIC News at the scene that Jensen's vehicle had slid about 500 feet down the road before crashing over a 50 foot embankment.
Authorities say the car went down the embankment backwards.
Norris says the man was treated at the scene, but refused medical treatment. He says Jensen's dog named Crash survived the crash as well.
Jensen was cited for careless driving at the scene, and was picked up by his wife.
