Man robs pharmacy with shotgun
EUGENE, Ore. - A man with a shotgun robbed a South Eugene grocery store pharmacy Monday night and escaped on a bicycle, police said.
The white man entered the Albertson's on Hilyard Street just after 10:30 p.m.
He approached the pharmacy counter and demanded drugs, threatening the employees with a shotgun.
The suspect took the drugs and fled through an emergency exit. He was last seen headed southeast on a bike.
The suspect abandoned the shotgun used in the robbery. Police said the gun was unloaded and had been reported stolen in a recent burglary.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6-foot-1, 140 to 150 lbs with a light complexion.
Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to contact Det. Ted Williams at (541) 682-5175.
I wonder if the robber was black if they would have said? The black man entered the Albertson's. I think it would have read. A man entered the Albertson's.
