Man robs sandwich shop at knifepoint
EUGENE, Ore. - A man robbed a sandwich shop at knifepoint Wednesday, police said.
The man, described as being in his mid-60s, walked first into the restroom at the Subway at 485 Coburg Road around 8:30 p.m.. He came out a minute later armed with a knife and demanded cash from the clerk.
The man fled on foot. A search of the area by police did not locate the suspect.
I am SO outa here.
as in, moving out, leaving Eugene.
Fed up with it, someone else can mess with the meth heads and other assorted 'crap for brains' running around here.
Well did he get any cash or just run away with a coldcut combo how stupid.
OH what the heck are going to do now no GUNS involved and still committed crime with deadly force.
@native And notice that no one died.  Knives have, at best, a 3% success rate for homicide attempts.
@Baldr Odinson Agreed, but 3% is still too much.  Stab proof knives should become standardized in the US to lower it even further.  Should make it safer around families too; I had a brother who was stabbed cuz his friend brought a steak knife to school. A slight cut would have been preferred to the stab.
