EUGENE, Ore. - A man is in custody after he refused to come out and meet with police Monday.

In an attempt to escape, the suspect threatened to throw feces at police, according to officers at the scene.

The incident on Candlelight Drive in West Eugene started around noon when Kenneth William Hinton refused to come out of a home and meet with officers who were attempting to serve a warrant, according to a police spokesperson.

Police used a loudspeaker to ask him to come out.

Then they sent in a dog.

Hinton was taken into custody around 2:40 p.m. after he jumped out a window and made a run for it.

Before being captured, police said Hinton threated to throw his own feces at them.
