More schools close as freezing fog seeps into parts of Willamette Valley

EUGENE, Ore. - Freezing fog in the Willamette Valley and snow that has stubbornly stuck amidst sub-freezing temperatures claimed another school day Wednesday, the fourth day off for some districts since snow fell last Friday.

While big districts like Eugene, Bethel, Sprinfield and Corvallis made the call Tuesday afternoon that schools would remain closed Wednesday, other districts like Harrisburg and Sweet Home planned 2-hour late starts.

Both of those districts changed their plans to closed by Wednesday morning.

Lane Community College canceled final exams Wednesday, which will be rescheduled.
