Motorcycles, generator stolen from Shotgun Creek facility

MARCOLA, Ore. - Someone stole two motorcycles, a generator and other equipment from the Shotgun Creek Recreation Site maintenance facility last weekend.

The Bureau of Land Management is offering a $1,000 reward for information in the case in hopes of capturing the people responsible and recovering the property.

Some of the stolen items were recovered near the facility, but about $6,500 worth of equipment remains missing.

The theft impacts operations at Shotgun Creek.

“This is a safety issue. These bikes are used to maintain the trails and could be used for search and rescue,” said Lane County Deputy Marvin Combs. “This type of activity costs the taxpayers money and ties up law enforcement resources.”

The Lane County Sheriff's Office and the BLM ask visitors to the area to keep an eye out for the stolen items and look for any suspicious activity.

The missing motorcycles are a 2005 Kawasaki KLX 300R and a 2004 Kawasaki KDX 220R, both are green.

The stolen generator is a Honda EU200I.
