Motorcyclist killed in crash

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. - A motorcyclist died in a crash with truck Wednesday afternoon near Dorena Lake.

Michael Duncan Mellor, 63, of Dorena lost control of his motorcycle and sidecar and crossed the centerline around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to state police.

Mellor collided with an oncoming pickup truck driven by Mathew Henry, 19, of Dorena

South Lane Fire and Rescue medics found Mellor dead at the scene.

Henry and his passenger, Jannelle Lamm, 17, of Cottage Grove, were taken to the hospital.
