Police nab load of hash, marijuana on I-5

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. -- A Myrtle Creek police officer allegedly found what was estimated as over a half pound of hashish during an investigation at a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.
Officials say that just before 3:30 p.m., an officer stopped a 1999 4-door Cadillac headed northbound on Interstate 5 for some traffic violations.
A subsequent investigation led to the discovery of what was estimated as a half pound or more of hashish, as well as what officials say were user amounts of marijuana.
In addition, police say they found scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Jacob Addison Ellis, 29, of Myers Flat, California, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession and delivery of hashish and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Another passenger, Patrick Howard Pringle, 61, of Cottage Grove, Ore., was arrested and charged by police with manufacture of marijuana.
The driver, Shane Paul Rise, 46, of Roncevert, West Virginia, was cited and released at the scene for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
According to police, the men were headed up to the Oregon Country Fair, which starts Friday in Veneta.
Where do I get a NorCal tee like ol' dready dude in the pic?
@CommonSense The website where yuo can buy them requires you to be 18 or older. Sorry, you're outa luck.
do you realize how much money this state is going to have if we legalize pot.think of the textile industry from the fibers the crops etc .
@Iam1woody The real market will be in the crop of course. The fiber, not so much. The fiber thing is just a ruse to get the product more accepted by those with the intent to get it more accepted. Sort of like the medical marijuana farce.Â
@OregonOrator  @Iam1woody but atleast we could have less waste and fewer people in jail wasting money and those who sell will have to go get real jobs
@Iam1woody I am in full agreement. Pot should have been made legal for adult use long ago.Â
