Police ID victims of hashish lab explosion

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Roseburg police have released the names of the three people injured in an explosion Monday in a downtown motel room.
Roseburg police and fire crews were called to the Douglas Inn on SE Stephens Street just before 2:00 p.m., to the report of an explosion that destroyed the room and damaged another.
"Evidence indicates that they were probably making hashish in the room and using some type of an accelerant along with the marijuana, trying to extract the THC out of that, and that accelerant exploded while they were in the room," Dunbar said on Monday.
Officials say Charles Edward Shipp, 48, April Dawn Shipp, 21, and Thomas William Diefel, 29. all of Roseburg, were taken to Mercy Medical Center, where all three were treated and released.
Roseburg Police Sgt. Aaron Dunbar says that once the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team finishes their investigation, the case will be sent to a grand jury.
No word yet on the dollar amount of damage caused by the blast.
Interesting choice of words for a headline - 'hashish lab'. So anytime a person sautés their food or uses an herb to extract a seasoning does that turn their home into a laboratory?
There are safe ways to do that IN YOUR OWN HOME. Idiots. =/
 @PleaseBeSmart There is a safe way to do this away from your home, in your backyard with no sparks or heat. Stupid people deserve an assault charge for putting others in danger/
 @ganjajon lol i prefer the pine method of disipline
 @ganjajon Yes, the point I was trying to make was that doing it in a hotel is really a prick thing to do. In your home, backyard, whatever is just fine. And that there are safer ways to do it that aren't going to result in blowing yourself up. I don't know how to do it completely heat free though. :(
 @crazeedav hi dav cold water method is great in my opinion
 @crazeedav Sounds good. Thank you for taking the time to school me. :)
 @PleaseBeSmart BTW...the first bucket will have the best results...the 3rd bucket cookies will be light green as compared to the first bucket which should be a nice dark green to brown...just be sure to work the herb for at least 15 minutes per bucket...you will be amazed what trimmings from just a few plants can produce.
 @crazeedav Thank you! I'll try that. :)
 @PleaseBeSmart It is simple. Get three buckets, fill them with ice water & ice, wrap the herb in a paint strainer bag, immerse in the ice water and start wringing for about 15 minutes then move the bag to the second bucket and repeat into the third bucket...allow to rest for about an hour and siphon off the liquid from the sedement. next pour the sedement into a coffee filter and let drain. then put the coffee filter in a vise between two boards and squeeze out remaining water...allow "cookie" to dry out for a day or two and there you have it...safe and simple bubble hash.
