EUGENE, Ore. - The "No Trespassing" signs posted Friday at a camp on city land have vanished.

The City of Eugene swapped out the "No Camping" signs posted at the Whoville camp at Hilyard and Broadway and replaced them with "No Trespassing" signs.

The change was part of a strategy to move to close the camp.

On Tuesday morning, reporters noticed the signs were gone.

A City spokesperson said the signs would be reposted.

Campers said the signs were gone when they woke up Monday morning.

"I woke up yesterday morning and they were just not there anymore," said a camper who goes by Red. "They were gone. They got misplaced maybe. I don't know."
