No one hurt when driver slips off brake, hits gas
SALEM, Ore. - A woman pulling into a convenience store to buy a soda missed the brake and hit the accelerator, sending her minivan crashing through the front of the store.
No one was injured.
The crash happened just before noon Thursday. De Ann Cosby, 70, of Keizer pulled into a 7-11 on Lancaster Drive to grab a soft drink.
As she pulled into the parking lot, her foot slipped off the brake pedal of her 2010 Kia Sedona minivan and hit the gas pedal instead.
The van crashed through the front of the store, missing everyone inside.
Cosby's passenger, her daughter Cindy Graves, 48, of Salem, was also unhurt.
Sr. Deputy Skip Lumley responded to the call. The deputy found no signs of impairment or alcohol use on the driver's part. No citations were issued.
Time for a retest for this one!
She might bend a rim or pop a tire if she does that on a regular basis
