OSP: California bank robber arrested in Oregon DUII

LANE COUNTY, Ore. -- Oregon State Police say they arrested a man for DUII Wednesday night, who turned out to be a man wanted for a California bank robbery.
Troopers say they stopped a Ford pickup on Interstate 5 near Coburg just before 9 pm, and arrested the driver, James R. Dear, 57, from Las Cruces, New Mexico, for DUII.
Officials say that the man was processed for DUII, then cited and released. He was taken to an area motel.
Authorities say when they had first contacted Dear, he was in possession of a large amount of cash, some of it stained with dye.
On Thursday, an OSP Criminal Investigation Division detective following up on the seized dye-stained cash confirmed through the FBI and Sacramento Police Department that Dear was a suspect in a California bank robbery.
According to Sacramento Police Department, on Wednesday morning, a suspect entered the First Northern Bank in the 700 block of J Street carrying a backpack, approached a teller and demanded money. The suspect placed the backpack on the floor after saying it contained a bomb and left on foot.
OSP troopers went back to the motel and took Dear into custody. He was lodged in the Lane County Jail as a Fugitive from Justice pending extradition from Oregon to California.
Nice hair dude can you say Rhode Island Red.  Looks like a chicken's as* to me. LOL!!!!!
This is the same law enforcement that wants all of us home owners to pay more taxes? Yeah right- with police work like this- I'm NOT voting yes. Good grief- they took him to a motel even though he was found with a great deal of STAINED cash? Are the cops smoking the funny stuff? Good freaking grief!
That is where we keep the cirmminals now. Â
We  cite them and then drive them to a motel.Â
Then a couple days later, we think to ourselves. Â "I wonder what that red dye on the money means?"
Looks like a Rashneesh disciple....  And looks like he "baaged One"....

Cited, released and taken to a motel??? Â Large amount of cash with dye on it??? Â Who the heck were these cops? Â Roscoe P. Coltrane and Barney Fife? Â Good thing ol' Andy Griffith stepped in.
@Phil Haven't thought of Barney Fife in years! Wasn't he a hoot? Always accidently discharging his weapon- then Andy would make him hand it over! Haha!
