OSP lands yet another pot bust on I-5 near Roseburg

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Trooper made a traffic stop Monday night that led to the discovery of over seven pounds of marijuana and charges for two Washington men.

OSP officials say that a trooper stopped a pickup at around 9:30 p.m., and contacted the occupants, later identified as driver Marc D. Wesley, 42, from Maple Falls, Wash., and the passenger, Gerardo Torres-Rodriguez, 17, of Sedro Woolley, Wash.

An investigation found the men had more than seven pounds of pot hidden in the passenger compartment.

Police say the estimated value of the drugs was about $17,500.

Both men were detained, then cited to appear in Douglas County Circuit Court at a later date.

They were charged with unlawful possession and delivery of marijuana.
