LAKESIDE, Ore. -- Oregon State Police say a 60-year-old man is dead after a crash on Highway 101 south of Lakeside.
State police say the accident occurred near milepost 222 at about 8:30 a.m.
A 2008 Dodge Ram pickup was headed southbound, when for an unknown reason it went off the road and collided with a tree.
The driver, Jon Copsey, 60 of North Bend, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, Beatrice Copsey (also 60 years old), was taken to Bay Area Hospital where she was treated and released.
Troopers say they were both wearing seat belts and the airbags on the pickup deployed.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Lakeside Fire Department, ODOT, and Coos County Medical Examiner.
The highway was closed during the investigation and a detour was put in place.
