Man injured in house fire on east side of Coos Bay
COOS BAY, Ore. -- A man was injured in a fire that destroyed a Coos Bay home Tuesday evening.
The manufactured home went up in flames near the 300 block of Olive Barber Road on the east side of Coos Bay.
Paramedics took the man to Bay Area Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation and other possible injuries.
Authorities say the man lived in the home.
A Coos County Sheriff's deputy who first responded to the scene told KCBY News that the home caught fire just before 5:00 p.m.
Officials say that within minutes the structure was engulfed by flames.
Firefighters say the home is a total loss.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, and there is no word yet on the extent of the man's injuries.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
Olive Barber is definitely more south of Coos Bay than east. It meanders south all the way to Sumner Mountain road, which comes out several miles south of Coos Bay on 101.

Hope the guy is all right.
