LOWELL, Ore.- One person died in a two-vehicle traffic crash on Highway 58 near Lowell, according to Oregon State Police.
The driver of the car that caused the crash faces DUI, manslaughter and other charges.

McNamara died at the scene.
The Dodge's 38-year-old driver, Traci Lynn Akers of Sweet Home, and her juvenile age daughter passenger were both taken by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend with non-life threatening injuries.
Akers was reportedly combative with ambulance staff on the way to the hospital.
After she was treated and released, state police took her into custody on charges of:
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants Manslaughter in the Second Degree Assault in the Third Degree (2 counts) Reckless Driving Recklessly Endangering Another Person
The Lane County Sheriff's Office, Dexter Fire Department, Springfield Fire Department, and ODOT assisted OSP at the scene.
The highway was cleared about 3 hours after the crash.
Eeew' meth zombie.
I've always heard that a picture is worth a thousand words...and well..after viewing the mugshot of the killer...I"m speechless.
Can you say ,"tore up from the ground up?"..tweekers suck!
Looks like "Meth Eyes" to me. Â
@thisBITES! Thank you, because that is exactly what I was thinking...Wonder how old the minor was?
@UsaidWHAT  @thisBITES! The minor was only 14 years old. I work with the father of the child.
I don't think it was caused by "heavy rain" as authorities speculated. If you read the RG site it says alcohol was the factor of the Dodge Durango crossing the center line hitting the driver that was killed.

When will people learn not to drive impaired? One death is too many deaths from their stupidity.
