Osprey-Fatal Nest
In this June 27, 2012 photo, Blue Mountain Wildlife interns Alexandra Gold, of Easton, Pa., and Annie Rosenbauer, of Walla Walla, Wash., watch as an adult osprey takes flight moments after releasing the bird south of Pendleton, Ore. The osprey was found hanging from its nest tangled in bailing twine the day before and Blue Mountian Wildlife, with help from Pacific Power, retrieved that animal and then held it over night for observation.
